Father's Day

Today was a good day in church. A few people were gone this weekend but there were several new faces this week so it was a good crowd. J.M. gave the announcements and took prayer requests. Gilbert Flores, one of our members, lost his five year old son Trevor early this morning. We have no details but anyone wanting to take food can go to Gilbert's sister's house, Diana Flores, just a few blocks out on 7th ave near the methodist church. Please keep this family in your prayers

Shannon taught children's church and it was awesome. He did a scientific experiment/illustration to show how Jesus makes our sins go away. Shannon you are a natural and you should be Kelly's permanent back-up. We sang some good "older" worship songs today and it was really great in worship.

Wes preached a sermon about the "Two sons" of the Prodigal Son parable. He pointed out that both sons are Lost. One son is lost to the world and the other is lost in his own good-works.

It was a good Sunday. We missed a lot of faces yet we are standing with the members of our body who are struggling or hurting... Remember to pray for Tyler's throat.
