Today was a wonderful day to be at the chapel! It was Palm Sunday and there was a full house at the church. I missed the first part but my others filled me in on what I missed.
After a brief set of announcements and children's church. Wes, Rueben, Shannon, and Kelly led the music. After a few songs, several people spoke up and shared words of encouragement and gave some testimonies. It is in these spontaneous moments that we all become aware of how special our chapel is. It is a blessing that we can stop and take time to think, listen and share our hearts.
W.O.preached a good sermon on believing and what it means to do the impossible. He had several interesting stories and anecdotes to press the point. W.O., always the tenderhearted, spoke with passion and conviction and I am sure that everyone was touched in some way.
We dismissed remembering that next week is the Big Week. Easter is always a big deal at the chapel--standing room only. We share communion, we have a powerful service and "blossom the cross". Check back next week because I hope to have an Easter service recap and photos of all the families in their Easter duds.
Blessings...
